The life of things..

a few notes taken in Julie’s contextual supervisor meeting.. my first since recommencing in the programme.. things i feel are relevant to my research and require extended thought, time and understanding..

Romanticism and the life of things..

~spirituality being replaced by the physical

~bringing life into something

~me thinking: about the translation from a virtual space to a physical space..  image as object..

~sentient possibility/potentiality

~the ability to feel things, to perceive things

Romanticism: new interest in things, tracing genealogy.. interests into historic discovery of specific concepts and images of thinghood or thingness..

~singular objects               ——->            thingness          …. physical property of matter..

~image and object and space in conversation..
